Homebrew business for sale in Norwich

A popular Norwich based homebrew and kitchenware shop of 1,200 square feet, and 3 websites.  Based in the popular city of Norwich, Goodlife Homebrew is the only specialist homebrew shop in the area, and has a good loyal following of customers (some of whom have been with us for over 11 years).

The three websites consist of

  • goodlifehomebrew.com
  • discountbrew.co.uk
  • dowricks.com

The goal of these sites is to specialise in various areas of homebrew and kitchenware, with each site having a target audience.

Reasons for sale

The present owners wife died of breast cancer 3 years ago.  The business was a joint venture and the owner would like to move onto new areas.

What is included

The sale will include -

  • A bespoke computer system written in-house using Filemaker Pro. All software and code will be included with the sale, and the present owner is happy to be retained to assist with training and any further changes that may be required.  Filemaker is a very easy program to learn and many regional consultants are available at good rates should the new owners not wish to get involved in program development.

The lease on the premises has been retained until 2022 at £5900 per annum, and the landlord is happy to extend the lease for any new owners.  The company currently pays no business rates.

Growth Potential

This sale offers a massive opportunity for good growth and expansion.  Details of what can be done include

  • Search engine optimisation
  • In-shop training courses
  • Range expansion
  • Coffee
  • Social media campaigns
  • You Tube video channel
  • Further expansion of kitchenware lines
  • Development of third party sites such as Amazon, Cdiscount, etc,

All of these items have been given almost no attention in the last 4 years and offer the ability to massively increase both web and shop turn-over.

It is our belief that a new dynamic owner/operator could easily expand the business to provide themselves with a gross salary of £65-75,000 per annum.
