As always yet another perfect bucket from Good Life Homebrew Centre.
I am Using it to make the alcoshots they sell, Demijohns are a bit to small to hold all the liquid about 1/2 litre too small infact !.
Here is Little tip for anyone that whishes to put a hole for a bung / cork and airlok in the top of the lid.
You need to heat up a 2p peice with a candle (Obviously using a pliers or similar) or if you have a blow torch , or even on a gas hob etc. It needs to get quite hot to melt the plastic,
Put the lid on the bucket, but fill it with a few inches/cm's of cold water, Then put the coin on the lid where you want the hole, if it's hot enough it simply falls stright into the bocket and quenches/cools down - without anymore damage to the bottom of the bucket, If you dont put the lid on the bucket, it warps slightly and its harder to get the bung in.
After the plastic has cooled down slightly, use a sharp knive at and angle to scrap the burred plastic away, and the bung fits fairly well, (May need a bit more Scraping)
I've done it on a few now, and it works out perfect.
